Build a Bear Experience

At Cook Children’s, we have an onsite Build-A-Bear © workshop where patients can make a furry friend to comfort them during procedures or to hug when they’re not feeling well. Your gift will provide a patient with the full Build-A-Bear © experience, and a friend for years to come.
Cook Children’s Trauma Injury Prevention program, identifies patients who need a car seat, and ensure that they get one. This could be patients who have suffered a traumatic injury in a car crash, patients who have been transported to Cook Children’s and do not have a car seat or patients with special needs that require a modified car seat.

Cook Children’s has a limited number of Nintendo Switch gaming units for patients to use during lengthy out-patient appointments as well as short and prolonged stays of hospitalization. They can provide distraction, help relieve stress, and promote relaxation prior to a procedure.
