The Quarter Cafe

OUR STORY
Jordan Brook Fox made her debut on July 14th, 2009. Undetected in utero was a heart condition that was successfully corrected with surgery at Cook Children's. However, after 5½ weeks, desperately trying to recover, she succumbed to an infection and passed. August 21st was the day we decided that it was more loving to let her go than keep throwing life support at her.

OUR WHY
At the time, Sydney (the oldest) was 7yrs old. She wanted to do something to honor her sister’s memory. A lemonade stand seemed cliché. Why not a good ol’ fashion BAKE SALE? In the middle of a Texas summer. Made perfect sense…HA!! Nonetheless, out of our saddest day came The Quarter Café * Where Everything’s a Quarter!

OUR HOW
We called on our loved ones. They rallied, friends and family alike, to bake bake BAKE!!! Some joined us by sweating it out, showing their support and remembering Jordan despite the blazing summer sun each year. The love was overwhelming and continues to overwhelm through the years. Even KLTY joined us in promoting our cause – to raise money for the only home Jordan had known at Cook Children’s.

YOUR PART
It’s an exciting year. We’re celebrating our 9th year of The Quarter Café and what would’ve been Jordan’s 9th birthday. We’re taking a different direction and going VIRTUAL!!! By donating on THIS site, your contribution will go DIRECTLY to Cook Children’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Fort Worth, Tx.

We hope you'll join us in this new venture. Our goal is $9000. If everyone donates just $25 (a virtual cupcake below), there's no reason we can't reach or even exceed our goal. HOWEVER, if $100 or more is something you can do, we will send a FREE GIFT TO YOU at the close of our virtual bake sale. WHATEVER you're giving, it gets us that much closer!!

We remain humbled, buoyed and blessed,
Kimberly, Joel, Sydney, Madelaine and Jaelyn
