Olivia is a vibrant, joy filled, spunky 6 year old who is currently going through what no child, or family, should ever have to endure. Last June, this blonde haired, blue eyed little girl was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Her story began in May 2017, when Olivia began having severe abdominal pain and cramping. After a month of doctor visits and misdiagnoses, she ended up in the emergency room at Cook Children's Medical Center. An xray and ultrasound revealed a mass in Olivia's stomach and one in her chest and a CAT scan and blood work confirmed her family's worst nightmare. Olivia began chemotherapy on June 8, 2017. Since then, she has been through an abdominal resection, several bone marrow aspirations and numerous ultrasounds, xrays, PET scans, MRIs and CT scans. Olivia's most recent PET scan came back clear and her family is currently awaiting official results of her CT scan.
Martha and I would like to invite you to join us on Olivia's Seventh Avenue Superstars team for this year's neublastomas walk, The Blast, in honor of our champion Olivia. Help us make a difference in the lives of Cook Children's patients and families who are fighting this rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer.
On Saturday, March 24th at Clearfork's Heart of the Ranch, the event will feature a fun run/walk at 8:15am, a run/walk 5K at 8:00 am, and a 30-mile bike ride starting at 7:30am. Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival will also be on site to provide yummy food and drinks. If you can't make it that day, please consider supporting us by making a donation. All funds raised will benefit the neuroblastoma program at Cook Children's.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
